| My name is Jim Parslow. I am the founder and manager of 'Ireland West Tours'. I have been a keen photographer for many years and have done extensive landscape and seascape photography in the West of Ireland. In recent travels to other countries I found that sightseeing tours lacked flexibility. As a tourist on coach tours I found that I had no choice as to where and when I wanted to start my tour and had no control over itinerary or duration. I was often disappointed not to be given a little extra time to enjoy a view or item of special interest to me because of a tour schedule. Disappointment often turned to annoyance when "the schedule" did not matter when the driver and/or guide got me to the shop or restaurant that gave him commission on my purchases. I found it next to impossible to find a tour that would allow me to do the things that I wanted to do, or let me eat and/or shop where and when I wanted. I guessed that many visitors to the West of Ireland would want the freedom and flexibility that I sought abroad. I guessed right!
